Built in 1840, Kingston House is one of South Australia’s oldest remaining houses. It is still being used today. The quiet beauty and hidden charm of the House and Reserve make it a favourite picnic spot for visitors.
The Kingston family is anything but quiet and tranquil. George Strickland Kingston and his son Charles Cameron Kingston were powerful figures in the political landscape of their time.

On display in Kingston’s Historic House
Our goal is to update and maintain Kingston’s beautiful historic house for the enjoyment of the whole community.
Keeping the Historical House open for the community requires a significant amount of funding for maintenance and restoration. All donations are greatly appreciated.
