Historic Tea Rooms of Jetty Road Brighton: Tea Room Row!

Kingston’s Historic House is delighted to host a fascinating presentation about the historic tea rooms of Jetty Road, Brighton, circa 1915.  Known by locals as Tea Room Row, there were four tea rooms who engaged in a polite but fierce “Menu War”. This presentation will be given by Mr Grant Tinney, a long term Brighton resident who is passionate about local history and the founder of the Facebook History site “Brighton SA and Beyond”.  Grant is the owner of Dunluce Castle with his wife Sarah Tinney OAM and founder of the Marilyn Swim. Kingston House is pleased to have them as partners in this inaugural presentation.  Come for a freshly baked Devonshire Tea and enjoy the history of tea rooms in Brighton.
